King Krule – the young British singer, songwriter, rapper, producer whose real name is Archy – stampeded onto the charts when he was 19 with his debut album 6 Feet Beneath the Moon and its hit singles “Easy Easy” and “Baby Blue”. A couple years later, and still only 23, Archy has released his second full length album called The OOZ and it’s a ripper. One of the best albums of 2017, featuring his trademark fusing of punk and trip hop, it’s the best thing he’s produced under any moniker. Plus, there is a song on the album called “Dum Surfer”, which is a great name, and what’s more important to a song than its name? It might also be the best song he’s ever written.
