“18 y/o girl making songs” simply reads the bio on FRITZ’s Bandcamp page. That’s all. FRITZ is Tilly Murphy, a girl out of Newcastle making lo-fi, fuzz-heavy pop that sounds like a mix between the best of Best Coast and the most sonic of Sonic Youth. Considering she’s only just graduated from high-school, and only played her first show with a band in August, it’s astounding to think of just how accomplished a songwriter she could become in the next few years when she gets to dedicate herself entirely to making music.
