You’ve probably seen Ari Browne slip along the pages of our new magazine, and if you did, you already know that soft top surfboarding is a very slippery business indeed. Like driving a go-kart through a field of banana peels, soft tops tend to surrender themselves to the feverish ways of motion slickness. And it’s this approach that Ari Browne and his pals at 88 Surfboards took to the waters of Japan, joysticking the local rock formations as if it were Toad’s turnpike. No fins, no wax, no worries. Just watch out for the speckled mushrooms.
