JOHNNY
Written & Performed by Wash: Creed McTaggart, Beau Foster & Ellis Ericson
“I’m not gonna lie! The Wash boys are friends of mine and I love the band but I WILL NOT let that influence this review. In saying that, this song is so SICK! Probably the best on the album even though I haven’t heard any of the other tracks yet. From the very first chord this song creeps up behind you and cuts your balls off and rams them down your throat. The guitars sound like a knife that’s been sharpened on the belly of some giant metallic cuttlefish. The song itself is short and spikey Creed sings about his old man who is for all intents and purposes a ‘Kung Fu Master’. A slightly higher range for Creed which is awesome. I got particularly horny when the phaser pedal kicked in in the middle. If the rest of the album is as cool as this sign me up now.” – Killerwhale, Goons of Doom
