Now for the dreamiest sequence you’ll see today. Brett Burcher is known for risky behaviour, his compulsion for shallow rock ledges and sizey ocean. And he’s paid dearly for it. For those unaware, Brett fractured his spine surfing in South Australia a little while back, and after a long, onerous recovery, Brett developed a serious case of itchy feet. He wanted to get back into pushing rail on open face, and as you might expect, Jeffrey’s Bay was top of the list. And so comes to you this collation of footage from South Africa, Scotland and Australia cut together by Bryce Gage with a swirling shoegaze track. But no Burcher clip is complete without slabs. Big blue ones.
