Are these guys the most prolific rock and roll band in the world? If you’re not already a fan, you’ll know them from the track that ripped through Mick Fanning’s rattle snake mystery wave clip that rocked the surf world in early 2017. Released in late June, Murder of The Universe is the seven piece psych rock outfit’s tenth studio album since their 2012 debut, and their second album of five planned to be released in 2017 alone. You read that right: They are releasing five full albums this year. This one is a concept album, a mystical kind of psych narrative that feels like something out of the 70s, while simultaneously not sounding out of place today. It’s fast and hard and unlike anything that is being made anywhere right now, in Aus or internationally. – kinggizzardandthelizardwizard.com
